Bullet graphs are a very compact way to display information in a dashboard. Gauges take up a lot of space and it can be difficult to display multiple gauges in a single panel. Thermometers are more compact but they can be unnecessarily realistic in terms of design and color. Bullet graphs can be arranged compactly like bar graphs and multiple quantitative metrics and qualitative categories can be displayed on the same bar.
